When you are building your copywriter website for the first time, it makes sense to look for ideas to capture exactly how you want your website to look.
Looking at other copywriter websites helps you form your ideas about:
- How you want your website to look
- What fonts and colors you like
- What style of images you might want to use
- What style of messaging you are going to use
- What customer journey you need to action to attract your ideal clients
In this post, I’ll highlight 5 copywriter websites that I love and why they work so well.
This site contains affiliate links to products. I may receive a commission for purchases made through these links. This doesn’t affect the price you pay, or if it is free, it will remain free. Know that I only promote products that I know, use, like, and trust. If it was 💩 you wouldn’t be hearing about it from me x
Conversion Copy Co
Conversion Copy Co is so slick. She follows a Storybrand approach to the layout of her homepage. See Donald Miller’s book Marketing Made Simple for how to do this.
She gets in your face with her USP, before you have a chance to scroll and her testimonials sell her on their own.
What I like
- Minimal but clear customer journey. Button at the top right to capture people who are already ready to hire her.
- I love the use of her USP above the fold – to communicate what she can do for her clients, who EXACTLY she serves, and the results she can give them.
- If they are in any doubt about whether to trust her, she includes a compelling introduction video.
- I love her ‘decision-makers’ guide, where she introduces potential clients to her services and what they can choose based on budget and deliverables.
What I don’t like
The site speed is very slow. On mobile it achieves 24/100 and on desktop 46/100. She has built the site on WordPress and with a Genesis child theme (called Conversion Copy Pro). Genesis child themes are usually fast. However, she uses sliders for her testimonials and past client logos. If she made these static, she would improve the overall client experience of her site.

Worditude
Worditude is fantastic in my opinion. The graphics are stunning and it’s clear that Laura has really thought through her branding ideas before going live.
What I like
- The overall branding – colors and imagery is cute
- The website is clear on who it is targeting – business owners wanting to write their own copy.
- Her customer journey is very clear – she even gives them choices on where to go next from her ‘about’ page.
- Her brand tone and voice is very entertaining, honest and direct. I really feel like I’m in a conversation with her when I read her site!
- She has a well established blog that is doing its job of attracting traffic 24/7.
What I don’t like
- Although the site is cute and looks visually stunning, her site speed is so slow. On mobile it achieves 15/100 and on desktop 50/100. She has built the site on WordPress but her theme Divi seems to be the issue here. I feel she could be leaving money on the table because some potential clients might not engage if they are waiting too long for the site to load.
Nickicopy.com
I love Nickicopy.com! Aside from being my copywriting mentor, through the fantastic course I have taken, she nails her copywriter website..as you would expect. The photography is crisp, professional and relaxed, and capture Nicki’s personality beautifully.
What I like
- The overall branding – the colors, photography, fonts are minimal but mean business.
- The website is clear on who it is targeting – business owners who want and can afford a high-end copywriter.
- Her customer journey and messaging is very clear. Enough said!
- Her brand tone and voice is very confident, to-the-point, and again professional, demonstrating that she is friendly and approachable, but with tonnes of experience.
- She achieves a site speed on desktop of 95/100.
What I don’t like
She has built the site on WordPress with Divi child theme. On mobile it achieves 63/100. The site just needs a couple of plugins to help speed up the mobile speed slightly. Like Worditude, I feel she could be leaving money on the table because some potential clients might not engage if they are waiting too long for the site to load.
Maha Copy Co
Maha Copy Co demonstrates how to guide the potential client through a clear journey toward being ready to book you. Everything about her site screams ‘You need to hire me now!’ I love the effort she has gone to, to describe EXACTLY what she offers. Her sales page for web copy is worth a look for inspiration on how you could display your services.
What I like
- The overall branding – the colors, photography, fonts are feminine, neutral and you can see how much thought has gone into planning her brand. (She is also a designer!)
- The website is absolutely clear on who it is targeting – coaches and creatives who want and can afford a high-end copywriter.
- Her services, offerings, and messaging is super-clear. She explains the benefits of hiring her constantly.
- Her brand tone and voice is very calm, informal, and friendly.
- She achieves an awesome site speed on desktop of 96/100.
What I don’t like
- She has built the site with WordPress and the ShowIt Page builder. On mobile it achieves 63/100. The extra code involved to make her site look gorgeous could also lead to clients leaving too early if they are viewing on mobile and the site doesn’t load as quickly as someone else’s.

The Copy Canary
The Copy Canary is so full of Adele’s personality. Like Conversion Copy Co she smacks you between the eyes with her USP, and the 3 things she can offer you, and then she gives you a button, so you know the next step is to contact her.
What I like
- Themed around canaries – she believes the canary represents her bubbly personality. Button on top right and above the fold to attract clients already ready to hire her.
- Her about page is a great example of her story interwoven with how she can help people – I love the confidence that exudes from her writing!
- The brand is consistent across all pages – so simple but effective. You would recognize it anywhere!
What I don’t like
- The site speed is slow. On mobile it achieves 35/100 and on desktop 73/100. She has built the site on Squarespace and employed a designer to edit a template (called Degraw).
